In a momentous event held at Nepal Sanskrit University on October 7, 2023, an MOU was signed to promote Vedic architecture, with a special focus on Vastu Shastra. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the honorable Foreign Minister of Nepal, Mr. NP Saud, who was the chief guest. Also present were Prof. Dr. Yadab Prakash Lamichhane, Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Sanskrit University, and Mr. Dipak Baskota, Chairman of Nepal Maharshi Vedic Foundation, who chaired the program.
The MOU was signed by Er. Birendra Khadka, Dean of the Institute of Sthapatya (IOS) at Nepal Sanskrit University, and Jon Lipman, Director of the Institute of Maharshi Vedic Architecture at Maharishi International University (MIU), along with Mr. Dipak Baskota, Chairman of Nepal Maharshi Vedic Foundation.
This historic agreement aims to enhance architectural education by incorporating the principles of Maharishi Vastu architecture into Nepal Sanskrit University's curriculum. It also facilitates cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and research in Vedic sciences.
The MOU signing ceremony marked a significant step forward in the collaborative efforts of these esteemed institutions to preserve and promote the ancient wisdom of Vedic architecture for the betterment of society.
